Our project in Jaipur

It all started with a business trip to India 16 years ago and a chance meeting with an extraordinary ex-Colonel from the Indian Army. A friendship and a plan were born. With his help, the Aashita project should be created here. The process took six long years of bureaucracy and 'trial and error' until we were able to take in the first children in 2011. A long way that has more than paid off. The Colonel is the driving force  and the local guarantor that the children are doing well. We couldn't have done it without him. Aashita is financed exclusively by the German association and we also regularly support him on site.

About us

Our association was founded in 2005 by a group of people who all had one thing in common: they wanted to help directly and sustainably, to be involved themselves and also to have control on site. A plan became a "project" and the project became an extended family. Most of our members also travel to India regularly and have a close connection with the children and our Colonel in Jaipur. Almost a second home.
